When you walk the difficult path―the corridor of pain in your life―recall in those moments these precious thoughts,
"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful, I know that full well." (Psalms 139:14 NIV)
God himself formed you. He thought of you, ordered your steps in this world and knew every trial that would bring its unbearable onslaught upon you.
When tribulation overwhelms, some often think that there is no hope. But God, the Creator of the universe, with his own thoughts of you “knitted you together in your mother’s womb.” There is no exception. Every single human being ever conceived has purpose. We have only to look at a newborn, or a toddler, to be reminded of the vastness of the thoughts of God. In his magnificence, in his unfathomable mind, he has, in his creation of us, allowed us to look upon his work, his creation of life, and marvel at his incomprehensible wisdom, his miraculous workings in the human being.
The moments that hurt us, that seem to pierce us to the core of our souls, even in their unrelenting attacks cannot sway the person that holds firm to the thoughts of God―the thoughts he has given us in his revelation―his Word.
We must pour his Word into our hearts, for it is God himself that created us. We did not leap from a primeval pond or crawl ashore as a microbial curiosity.
We were “fearfully and wonderfully made," from the complexity of our DNA to the mysterious powers of the human mind.
God made us.
In his image.
For his purpose.
With his power.
He has revealed his hand in us.
We must respond to him in worship and praise his name.
Made by God.
How wonderful is that?

We can come to know Christ through confession of our sins and repentance (turning away from sin). Let me encourage you to do this by talking to God through prayer. Here is an idea of how you might do that:
"Dear God, I believe your son Jesus Christ died in my place on the cross and rose from the dead on the third day following his death. I confess my sins, all of them, to you now with a humble heart. I repent of those sins and ask you to empower me with your Holy Spirit in overcoming further sin. Amen”
If you prayed this or a similar prayer committing your life to Christ and becoming one of his followers, let me encourage you to find a good, Bible-believing church. If you live in the Weslaco/Rio Grand Valley area of Texas, let me invite you to the church I attend, Mid-Valley Assembly (www.midvalleyassembly.com).
Begin talking to God in prayer and reading the Bible daily. A good way to begin to read the Bible is to start with the Book of John in the New Testament. Feel very free in connecting with me if you need any further help in your walk with the Lord Jesus Christ. You can do this via the above email or facebook page or this web page.
